Our hosted software solution enables our customers to optimize their online marketing activities and convert more of their website visitors into qualified sales leads. We are currently adding a Customer Success Advisor / Sales Engineer position to our small team. This is a unique opportunity for both the person that has served in a similar role and/or for the person that is perhaps early on in their career and is looking to break into a sales engineering role without the specific software industry experience usually required. Additionally, this is a great opportunity to get in on the ground floor with a growing tech company, learn from experienced mentors, and get exposure to the many facets of growing a business. The Customer Success Advisor / Sales Engineer plays an instrumental part in the overall success of the sales team in our mission to locate and maximize revenue opportunities, ensure the highest level of customer satisfaction, and drive the resolution of issues impeding the sale. The chosen candidate will be responsible for all technical, customer support, and other customer facing responsibilities both pre and post-sale. This includes:
At a minimum, the Customer Success Advisor / Sales Engineer must have HTML experience. CSS and JavaScript are highly desirable. Any additional programming skills, such as ASP, Visual Basic, .NET, or SQL Server are a big plus. To be successful in this role, you must be very detail-oriented, very persistent, and be able to come up with practical solutions to sometimes complex problems. You will need to be a quick learner who can become an expert on our technology and the technology of our competitors, and have the ability to communicate this knowledge with a technical and non-technical audience. This position will require you to deal with challenges and ambiguity, work alone and as part of a team, and deal well with pressure and risk. A BA/BS degree in MIS or computer science is preferred, but candidates with relevant work experience are encouraged to apply. Knowledge of hosted software (ASP’s), web marketing software and methodology, and web traffic analysis/sales CRM is helpful. Any sales / customer service-related work experience is a plus. The compensation is competitive and will be structured as base with bonus potential after you get ramped up and are ready to interface directly with customers. We will not relocate.
