Sales Development Advisor

Target Compensation: Base + Commission + Bonus with a target of $60K. There is no cap.

Manticore Technology is a Leader in providing Marketing Automation / Demand Generation technology and we are adding a key position to our small team. This critical addition to our software sales team will serve as the sole Sales Development Associate. We are seeking an extraordinarily talented individual that craves a challenge and is unafraid to venture out of their own comfort zone. A job at a small and rapidly growing company is not for everyone, but you will work with experienced mentors and learn as much working here in three months as you would most companies in a year.

To be successful in this role, you must be very hungry, very persistent, and have the ability to overcome objections. You will need to be a quick learner who can become an expert on our technology and the technology of our competitors, and must come across as intelligent and professional. In this role you will need to communicate with successful and accomplished executives in high tech businesses and convert them from suspects into leads and then opportunities for our Senior Sales Consultants. You need to be polished and well spoken. You will need to be able to position our solution against numerous competitors and find ways to differentiate. Motivation and energy are the name of the game. In order to be successful in this role you need many skills, including:
  • Being confident in positioning a $40K + solution
  • Demonstrating the value propositions of our products and services
  • Provide timely and knowledgeable responses to those inquiring about our solution
  • Create and manage you own prospecting pipeline in addition to following up with those that inquire
  • Managing all suspects in our existing database to seek out and maximize opportunities
  • Qualifying each opportunity properly to ensure the right level of follow through and commitment
  • Executing at 110% to achieve your monthly quota of web meetings generated

The ideal candidate is someone who has served in a "Hunter" role and has success converting suspects to prospects and then opportunities and has significant experience in both calling and emailing prospects. You MUST be comfortable on the phone and making many calls a day in order to achieve target. If you don’t have this background you will need to convince us that you have the ability.

Finally, we are looking for a candidate that is extraordinarily bright and flexible. The best people in small companies usually end up serving in multiple roles as the company grows. Flexibility and a desire to constantly learn and push yourself is absolutely required to succeed in this environment. This is an excellent opportunity and offers the ability, after sustained success in this role, to grow into a Senior Sales role where substantial previous software sales experience is usually required.

    • Bachelors degree or equivalent experience

    • Demonstrated work ethic and consistent over achievement
    • Lead generation or sales experience a strong plus
  • Desired Experience
    • Selling to B2B Marketers in the technology industry
  • Nice-to-Have
    • Salesforce.com expertise
    • Expert user of current web/online communication technologies, including browsers, search, email, instant messaging, and forums/message boards
    • Knowledge of online marketing techniques, technologies, and media
    • Passion for technology, particularly online marketing technologies
