Senior Network/Operations Engineer
Manticore Technology Corporation is making an addition to our engineering team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who can handle a lot of responsibility. You will be working to support our engineering team on network, hardware, and application issues related to the delivery of our Software as a Service (SaaS) product. This position will provide an opportunity for the right person to use and learn many different technologies and architectures in a creative environment with other highly experienced engineers.
The environment that you will work in is a Cisco and Microsoft based network.
Primary responsibilities and skills required are:
- Architect, maintain, and secure our production, QA, and development networks including Dell servers, Cisco routers and switches, Barracuda load balancers, and EqualLogic SAN arrays
- 24x7x365 first level monitoring of/response to our production application health
- Install and maintain third party software we use to run our application including Microsoft Windows operating systems, specialized email software, VPN software, and virtualization technology
- Installation and deployment of our application to our server cloud
- Design, manage, and implement our backup and disaster recovery strategy
Additional skills and experience that will be counted as big pluses are:
- Any MSCE/CCNA certifications
- Experience in very high availability networks
- Experience managing SQL server backups
- .NET development experience (although this is NOT a development role)
