Consumer PrivacyAudienceThe following information is intended for consumers who may be visiting one of our clients' sites and would like further information about Manticore Technology's Virtual Traffic Master, Virtual Commerce Master, and Manticore Technology tracking and analysis services.Manticore Technology Corporation's SoftwareThe software services that Manticore Technology develops are enterprise tools for the statistical sales and marketing analysis of a businesses Internet presence. We are an application service provider (ASP). This means that our clients do not own a physical copy of our software, but that they utilize it in a pay-per use service model.Our Privacy PhilosophyManticore Technology has the utmost respect for the privacy of our client's as well as their site visitors. We believe in fully disclosing our data practices and, as part of our service, providing our clients and their visitors with the option to not participate in those practices. We maintain the highest level of security to protect the information that we may gather or use and Manticore has taken proactive measures to protect against the loss, misuse and alteration of the information under our control.Data SecurityClients who use our service are required to transmit raw data about their websites to our servers. Data that contains potentially sensitive information is sent securely using various encryption technologies. Manticore Technology processes and analyzes the raw data, and then provides the results to our clients, online, via secure reports.The integrity of the client data that we collect and store is our number one priority. Manticore uses industry security best practices to insure that the data remains secure, including SSL encryption for data collection, proactive server security audits, proprietary encryption algorithms for database storage, redundant systems, and data backup. Data OwnershipOur customers own the information collected using Manticore Technology's services. We store this information for them for the duration of our contractual agreement. We will not divulge to any third party, unless required by law, statistics or other data collected using any of our products. When a contract with one of our customers is terminated, we will keep data for a discretionary period and then destroy it permanently.This consumer privacy statement is meant to compliment, not substitute, a privacy policy on our clients' websites. We cannot make any warranty or guarantee to what our customers may do with information obtained from or stored within our service. If you have a concern about the policy of a particular company that uses Manticore's services, please refer to their website for their individual privacy policy or contact them directly. Data Collection PracticesAll of our software services collect non-personally identifying information such as IP address, domain name, pages that were viewed, where the visitor was referred from, and technical information such as browser type and operating system. Additionally, our Commerce Master product captures transaction information, such as consumer shopping cart interaction, and check out statistics such as purchase size and most popular products.Depending on the service level that each of our clients' selects, our software may also use certain personally identifying information. Though this information is stored in our service by our clients, it is still owned by them. Furthermore, our software is not technically capable of gathering personal information from any consumer on our clients' behalf without consumer consent. Any personally identifying information that is stored in our system must be passed to us by our clients to us in order for our software to use it. All information that we store is considered opt-in information; information that a consumer has previously provided to our clients. Hence, if a consumer does not provide personally identifying information to our client, then we cannot gather or use it. The personally identifying information that our software can use includes email address, a site username, a physical address, a telephone number, and other information that our client has acquired independent of Manticore Technology. Personally identifying information is NOT shared among our client base and is owned in whole by the client that provides the information. Please refer to our individual clients' privacy policies to learn how they may use this data. Manticore Technology does not collect individual profile information to aggregate across multiple client websites. Our clients can only see information about activity on their websites and we do not build a profile of your browsing habits to use otherwise. Consumer Opt-OutThe data that we collect and analyze for our clients helps them understand how consumers are interacting with their website. Our software allows our clients to identify ways to create a better visitor experience, and ultimately reduce the cost of doing business. The more information our clients have, the more successful they will be at realizing that cost savings. However, Manticore Technology and our clients respect the privacy of individual consumers and their wish to not participate in such data gathering practices.
